Summer Update: Bob Barton's Garden Patch at the senior center is busy producing fresh vegetables on the first days of summer. We have lots of tomatoes, eggplants and several varieties of beans. Thanks to the Health Angels of St. David's Foundation and some help from a few Hays Master Gardeners, we look forward to sharing our abundance with the seniors who come to the center.

"To supplement the efforts of the Onion Creek Senior Center to help older adults, in early March of 2014, Health's Angels built a garden at the OCSC. From the moment the gate was opened, the garden has been a buzz of activity. The partnership between Health's Angels and OCSC to meet the needs of older adults has been both positive and productive."
