Onion Creek Senior Center offers a wide variety of activities and programs for our members and the surrounding community. Each is thoughtfully designed to support the unique interests, wellness goals, and social needs of active adults. All activities listed below take place at Onion Creek Senior Center.

Arts & Crafts*

Whether you’re an experienced artist or just discovering a new hobby, this section is designed to inspire creativity and connection. Explore classes and clubs that encourage imagination and self-expression.


Sassy Senior Stampers Class

1st & 3rd Wednesdays | 1:00 PM

Create two handmade cards during each meeting. Participants may choose to donate their cards to the Center or take them home for $2 per card.

All materials are provided.


Card Makers Open Studio – Craft Room
2nd Wednesdays | 1:00 PM

Enjoy an open studio time to create and connect with fellow card makers. Hosted by the Sassy Senior Stampers.


Art/Paint Class* 

Enjoy guided art and painting sessions that provide an opportunity to explore creativity, develop new skills, and connect with others who share an interest in the arts.

Health & Wellness

Staying active and prioritizing your health is important at every stage of life. These classes and programs are designed specifically with senior health and wellness in mind.

Some programs may require a class fee and/or personal exercise equipment.

Exercise Classes*

SilverSneakers®-Based Programs Designed for Active Adults

(Available to OCSC Members & SilverSneakers® Participants) 


Classic Exercise
Mondays | 8:15 AM – 09:30 AM

Stay strong, steady, and energized with our Classic Exercise class! This low-impact, full-body workout is designed specifically for adults 50+ and focuses on improving strength, balance, flexibility, and overall mobility.


Circuit / Interval
Mondays | 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

This standing class alternates upper-body strength training with low-impact cardio to help improve overall fitness, endurance, and balance.


Arthritis Chair Yoga
Tuesdays | 9:15 AM

This gentle class includes breathing exercises, warm-up stretches, restorative poses, and mindful movements designed to support joint health and flexibility. Emphasis is placed on stress relief, relaxation, and overall well-being.


Body Brain Builders
Wednesdays | 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM

This 75-minute class is designed to support both physical and mental wellness. The first hour focuses on cardio, balance and brain-boosting activities, strength training, core work, and stretching. Participants will use light weights, resistance bands, and small exercise balls.

The final 15 minutes are dedicated to guided meditation and relaxation techniques to promote overall vitality and renewed energy.


Strength & Balance
Fridays | 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

This class focuses on building strength, improving balance, and enhancing overall stability to support everyday movement and confidence.


TOPS Meeting
Tuesdays | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

TOPS stands for Take Off Pounds Sensibly. This supportive, low-cost weight management group offers encouragement, accountability, and community in a welcoming environment.

Fun, Clubs & Games

Enjoy meaningful connection while challenging your mind through a variety of clubs, games, and social activities designed to keep you engaged and entertained.

Bingo

Tuesdays | Doors open at 5pm

Join us for Texas Lottery–regulated Bingo featuring real prizes in a fun and welcoming environment.


Tuesday Games
Tuesdays | 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Join us for an afternoon of Super Samba, Bridge, Dominoes, Mexican Train, and Mahjong (also played on Mondays). All skill levels are welcome.


Games, Cards & Lunch
Thursdays | 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Enjoy a morning of Super Samba, Bridge, Dominoes, Mexican Train, and more in a friendly, social setting — followed by lunch. Thank you to our generous Lunch Sponsors for their continued support.

Lunch is $7.00.


Book Club
2nd Tuesdays | 1:00 PM

Take time to enjoy a good book and thoughtful conversation with friends.


Education & Workshops

Lifelong learning is an important part of staying active and engaged. Onion Creek Senior Center offers a variety of educational classes, workshops, and presentations designed to inform, inspire, and support the unique interests of our members and the senior community.

Some programs may require a participation fee.

Support & Discussion

Onion Creek Senior Center understands the importance of connection and mutual support. We provide a welcoming and respectful environment where members of our community can gather for meaningful conversation and encouragement through support and discussion groups.


Friends Discussion Group
Tuesdays | 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

This group focuses on topics related to aging and life experiences in a positive, supportive setting. Please note that discussions do not include politics or religion.

Lunch & Laughter

Great food and good friends — you can’t go wrong! Join us for delicious meals and great company in a welcoming atmosphere.


Thursday Lunch | $7.00
Thursdays | Doors Open at 8:30 AM
Lunch is served around 12:00 PM.

Meals are limited, so we encourage you to arrive early.

Music & Dance

Country Dance Night
3rd Thursdays | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Put on your dancing boots and join us for an evening of live music, dancing, and great company.

Admission is $6 per person.
The kitchen is open from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM.

Pickleball – Offsite Location

Ready to grab a paddle and hit the court? Join us for Pickleball — a fun, fast-growing game that’s easy to learn and great for staying active while connecting with others.
